General Surgery Department
The Surgical Department (General Surgery Clinic) of Aigio Hospital serves and treats a large number of patients daily, both routine and emergency cases, as it is the only surgical clinic in Eastern Achaia. The level of care provided is exceptionally high from a scientific perspective, while patient care is delivered with compassion and respect. The Clinic has 25 inpatient beds and offers comprehensive surgical care, covering all general, laparoscopic and oncological procedures, both on an emergency and scheduled basis.
The Regular Outpatient Clinics operate daily in the morning and on Wednesday and Thursday afternoons. AN APPOINTMENT IS REQUIRED.

- Appendectomy (Open & Laparoscopic)
- Colon Surgery for Benign Conditions (e.g., Diverticulitis)
- Breast Surgery (Lumpectomy, Partial or Total Mastectomy with Oncoplastic Techniques, Biopsies, Sentinel Lymph Node)
- Thyroid Surgery – Thyroidectomy
- Gynaecological Surgery (Open & Laparoscopic, in collaboration with the Gynaecology Department)
- Minor Skin Procedures (Cysts, Lipomas, Moles, etc., in collaboration with a Plastic Surgeon when required)
