MISSION

The mission of the Nursing Service is to provide comprehensive nursing care to all patients, based on the principles of modern Nursing Science and Ethics, centred on the individual and their needs.

OBJECTIVES

To deliver nursing and midwifery care according to the principles of Nursing and Midwifery Science, in collaboration with the responsible physicians.
To promote and advance Nursing and Midwifery Science, including ongoing training and continuing education.
To plan and supervise personnel and the services provided.
To ensure compliance with hospital operational regulations, legislation, internal procedures, and decisions of the Board and the Hospital Director.
To collaborate effectively with all other hospital services.
To oversee resource management (recording, distribution, and monitoring of materials and pharmaceuticals) across nursing units.
To share responsibility with the Medical Service for maintaining and safeguarding patient medical records.
To organise, plan, and implement all nursing procedures.

The Nursing Service operates 24 hours a day.
