Housekeeping Department
The Stewarding Department is a key support unit of the Hospital, responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of cleaning services, patient and material transport, safety, and security — all contributing to the proper and safe functioning of the institution.
It operates under the Administrative Service.
The department functions with a focus on safeguarding the quality of the services provided, prioritizing patient support, assisting medical and nursing staff, and continuously improving the daily operations of the Hospital.

- The Stewarding and Linen Department is responsible for the required maintenance, cleaning, and disinfection of hospital linen and bedding.
- It is responsible for the safety of staff, visitors, and patients within the Hospital.
- It oversees the security of buildings, facilities, and all types of hospital equipment. Security services are provided either by hospital personnel or by specialised security companies under formal contracts.
- It ensures the orderly and clean appearance of the Hospital regarding cleanliness and tidiness.
- It is responsible for the proper operation of the Hospital’s telephone switchboard.
- It manages the planning of the Hospital’s needs for linen and uniforms required for staff duties across specialties, as well as the necessary maintenance of all linen items.
- It supervises adherence to the daily work schedule of stewarding staff and ensures coverage during absences due to leave, illness, or emergency situations.
